The 90-Day PCS Timeline for Landing on Oahu

July 14, 2026 · 6 min read

A PCS to Hawaii rewards early movers. The families who start 90 days out get the neighborhood they want, the school they want, and a closing date that lands after their household goods do.

Days 90–60: pull your COE, get fully underwritten pre-approval, and pick your target installation. Commute on Oahu is the single biggest quality-of-life variable — an H-1 commute at 0600 is not the same trip as the map suggests.

Days 60–30: tour by video, lock your top three neighborhoods, and start writing offers. Assumable VA listings move fastest, so have your funding gap plan ready before you write.

Days 30–0: inspections, appraisal, and a walk-through timed to your arrival window. We handle the local legwork so you land, get keys, and start your report-in week without living out of a hotel.
